Williamsburg, VA

Welcome to greater Williamsburg!  The swiftly flowing James River and Williamsburg’s picturesque scenery creates a millennial setting for your visit.  Throughout Williamsburg and the Historic Triangle, modern amenities meld with the rich history of the area.  The Historic Triangle, also known as the birthplace of American Democracy, is comprised of three cities:  Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown.

With four centuries of history this region contains and incredible amount of fun and educational things to see and do.  Walk in the footsteps of Captain John Smith, Pocahontas and the men and women who settled England’s first permanent colony in North America in 1607 at Jamestown Settlement.  Take a stroll through Historic Jamestown Visitor Center, learn about daily interpretive programs, tour the exhibit galleries, shop in the museum store and view a multimedia theater presentation that will immerse you in the sights and sounds of 17th century Jamestown Island.  Immerse yourself in 18th century Williamsburg as you walk down Duke of Gloucester Street in Colonial Williamsburg.  Here you can listen to the stories of the daily lives, dreams and accomplishments of the men, women and children whose ideas and values helped shape our nation.  Visit the American Revolutionary Museum at Yorktown or tour the battlefield where allied American and French troops won the American Revolution in 1781.

Although there are historical sites are abundant, there are numerous activities to do around Williamsburg that go beyond uncovering history.  “Busch Gardens,” “Go Ape!  Treetop Adventure Park,” “Go-Karts Plus,” and “Miniature Golf” are just a short distance away.  There’s also tons of outdoor excitement – from hiking and biking, to a leisurely walk along the peaceful banks of the York River at “Riverwalk Landing.”

A scrumptious selection of dining options also awaits Williamsburg’s visitors.  There’s something for every palate from authentic Greek, Italian, Mexican, Japanese and Chinese restaurants, to bakeries, endless pancake houses, delectable seafood, signature sandwiches, sumptuous Steak houses, and freshly made brick oven pizzas just to name a few.

These are just a few things that make this an excellent mid-Atlantic Feast site for 2019!  More details will be forthcoming, including a Feast Schedule and the option to spend the Friday just prior to the Feast at Mount Vernon – located in the Washington DC area just 2 ½ hours north of this Feast site!
